We start with a condition survey that records the structure, the materials and the quirks of the building. Then we compare options on cost, carbon and use, so the decision rests on evidence.
The design that follows works with the old fabric, not against it. Where we add new elements, we make them clearly new, and where we repair, we match what was there.
